count me in
Nov. 12th, 2004 12:48 pmThe problem with LJ: we all think we are so close, but really we know nothing about each other.
I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about.
Ask away. Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you

Date: 2004-11-12 07:15 pm (UTC)what an interesting question...
Date: 2004-11-12 08:30 pm (UTC)i have some seriously unpopular opinions when it comes to art though. i don't believe in art for art's sake. i believe that art has to have an audience and express something to someone in order for it to be art. art in that it carries a connotation of being worth something. it can't just exist in a vaccuum or the artist's mind and still qualify. it has to be at least partiall coherant.
which in my opinion, leaves out jackson pollack and some a-tonal music and performance art.
As to particulars, i very much like michelangelo and bernini's sculpture, shakespeare and sophocles and brecht for plays, sharon olds and e.e cummings and james dickey for poets, the cohen brothers and peter jackson and julie taymor for directors, bach, lizt, schubert, wagner and mozart as composers (and probably others that i'm not thinking of at the moment)and jacek yerka, alphonse mucha, albrecht durer for visual art.
so you get a very long response.

Date: 2007-07-26 11:09 pm (UTC)First is simple, and might have been something I could have answered by looking at your profile again... but how old are you?
Hm. And I just decided not to ask the second here in this moment. *laughs*

Date: 2007-08-01 03:48 pm (UTC)*laughs merrily* Yeesh. I need to take that thing down and rebuild it. Sort of a compliment and an insult at the same time, amusingly enough. Most of the work on those pages was done somewhere between 19 and 21. ish. Some bits and snippets added, but not much. If you checked all the links attached (Chronos and Kikat) - some of them are not mine and are not in my voice, though I doubt that's what you are referencing.
At the time I still wore sort of a nictating face as needed per scenario, group, etc... - survival trait that is not uncommon when you had/have as many trust issues as I do/did. I deal with things a bit differently now.

Date: 2007-08-02 08:13 pm (UTC)I turned the facility for masks into the facility into creating characters when gming. I still have masks, but i don't use them anymore, and the one that used to bother me the most I'm not even sure if I still have.
Pain. *twitches* Yeah. I hear that.
