i think a small colony of razorblades has moved from my chest up to my throat and begun building an apartment complex.  
did i mention that i'm already taking dayquil and 5 zillion cough drops?
i'm supposed to be meeting with my class group to interview the pastor of the church we are going to work with this afternoon. 
i think i will be going to the doctor AGAIN instead.

UPDATE: i officially have the st. paul crud (which the doctor himself also has - questionable practice if you ask me). my strep test was negative and my white blood count is mid-range. which means it's a virus and no antibiotics will help. the doctor was kind enough to give me prescription level cough medicine with codeine. i feel like last night is the first time in ages i've slept well.

Other than that, I highly suggest Traditional Medicinals Gypsy Cold Care. Strange recommend from me, as I usually HATE companies that use the word Gypsy in their name - so few actually understand what the word means.

Ooooh, sounds terribly vile.
I hope that the virus bits are overcome by your immune system and give up.
And hooray for codeine cough stuff -- it really does the trick when you're coughing so bad you can't sleep.
