Madeleine is a very confused young maine coon. She has been having a difficult time without Luther around to show her how to be a cat.
So, without his guiding influence, she has been exploring the alternatives.
This morning, she decided that today was a good day to learn about being a towel. She nosed open the linen closet, removed the offending towel and table cloth in her way, and proceeded to spend most of the day in the linen closet. Being a towel seemed to suit her very well.
However, she did get hungry and after eating, was anxious to try something else. A short time was spent under the buffet table exploring the options involved in the occupation of a dust bunny. While dust bunnies are fluffier than towels and she resembles one more, I have to approve of the short time she chose to dedicate to this exploration. I was concerned about her judgment on the matter. Towels are much more sophisticated than dust bunnies and I am grateful that dust bunnihood did not suit her as well.
Now, however, she has taken up residence in my husband's chair....I am wondering what Ross will think about his replacement!

Edit: After evaluating the situation, Ross has corrected my observation. Madeleine has not set out to be a husband, but rather an ass donut. I am deeply disturbed about what this portends for her future.

Hiya!

My kitties are all about the linen closet. I have it organized with those wire cubie things, and they each take a shelf. Looks like a kitty Brady Bunch intro in there!

Found you through the St. John's college page on LJ -- glad to see you are out there and doing well! I was rearranging stuff the other night and ended up pausing to go through the pics of our Scotland adventure from soooo long ago. That was a wild time.
Heilen Coos! Mooooo!

Anyway be well! :)

hey lady -LOVE the icon!(you always did have good taste in pretty things)
well...i'm not sure if being in the middle of writing my master's thesis counts as being well. i have ingested WAY too much caffeine these weeks. i can guarantee that i will be FABULOUS next week, when this is all over.
that was a great trip. trips as an adult just aren't the same. you can't stay in a hostel with your honey.
btw, josh, bill erskine and jeremiah james all have lj's on here somewhere, although i wound up de-friending jer and bill because they never noticed that i friended them and never posted anyway. meh.
how are all things in the life of cindy?

The very best thing about writing a thesis is when it's over. It will be over soon, just keep repeating that.
Then when it's over, climb up and ring the bell in the bell tower and celebrate in the coffee shop... oh wait, wrong thesis. ;P
Yeah, it would be a bit harder to do the hostel thing with a signficant other. At least if you had any intention of :ahem: enjoying each others company on the trip and not completely squicking out your hostel-roomates!
Things in my life are up and down -- got married, got separated, getting divorced. (Very long story -- essentially he decided he didn't want to be married anymore and off he went.) But I have a nice house and a very cool dog and kitties, and not being destitute or friendless I really can't complain. (I do whine just a little though from time to time, which you will now be privy to since you're my New LJ Friend!) Anyway, back to work :)

Madeleine's role confusion

If Madeleine continues to be drawn to the ass donut role the meaning seems clear: She is called to be a hemorrhoid therapy cat. Good luck in finding a way to help her fulfill that destiny.

i'm not sure about that.
mainly because only half the duties seem to suit her.
she sits in the proper position (nose to tail) but when ross tries to sit on her, she objects and vacates the premises. of course, that could be because he doesn't have the required affliction!

does that involve lots of rolling around on the floor and sleeping on top of high shelves that i can't reach with my dusting? cuz she does that already.

think more of a methodical slinking, with the belly scraping the floor, that covers vast amounts of floor space where the fur catches more gunk than the amount of fur left behind.
