i have an amazing husband.
my folks brought us a broken boat. the mechanic said the part wasn't made anymore and he couldn't fix it.
monday we cleaned it. harder work than it sounds.
tonight my husband is an hour or so from having it fixed.
he COULD be working on his harley.
he does it cuz he loves me. :)


get a whole chicken and cut the skin off. salt and pepper it and then brown it with some oil in a large pan. put on a plate when you are done.
in a separate bowl combine 1/4 cup dry white wine, 1/8 cup dry vermouth, 2 tsp basil, 1 tsp oregano, 2 tsp parsley
add 40 peeled cloves of garlic and 4 stalks of celery, sliced.
coat in the wine mixture and spoon into crockpot.
coat the chicken in the remaining mixture and put in crockpot.
add the juice of one lemon and the peel of the lemon.
pour the remaining mixture over it and then cook on low for 6 hours....
mmmmm....my house smells good.
we are having it served over rice tonight.
