no idea if people are trying to reach me,
but i am in connecticut, visiting my brother and his family. we have limited internet access here.
yesterday i learned that i love kayaking.
today i am tired and my arms hurt.
we will be here til monday, so if i don't get back to you...that's why.

Date: 2006-07-31 02:44 am (UTC)thanks! i don't know if i really qualify as having taken it up - i just borrowed my brother's kayak and did a little run around their lake with my husband and sister-in-law....but i'd _like_ to do more!
went waterskiing today! i've been doing it since i was 9, but it's been about 5 years since my last opportunity. i'm woefully out of shape. but we're getting a boat that has been in the family since 1962 in about 2 weeks - a 17 ft boston whaler. today gave me a good estimate of how hard it will be to get back in shape.
