definately. i don't know them, have to check it out. so far, skia has got me hooked on his and her circumstances, macross plus, the myazaki stuff and ranma 1/2, all of which i have liked.
oh this is much worse, you see, you KNEW eve was an online game before you test-drove it and got hooked. here i was thinking you were making some innocent "yatta yatta yatta" comment about someone talking about boring things and instead i get naked japanese boyband members with (insert scottish accent)"the secret ingredients that get you craving for it nightly, smarty!"
I really reccommend "Cowboy Bebop". You read the descriptions and go, "Bounty hunters in space? No thank you...." But if you watch it, you'll notice it has the most wonderful jazz and blues soundtrack, giving it an incredible film noir feel, and the (eventual) four main characters are all people you can care about.
I watch very little anime, but this is one of them. ~Amanda
Jazz/Bounty Hunters: Cowboy Bebop Mystic swordsmen: Bleach Slapstick High School Humor: School Rumble or Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu Fashion and Self Growth: Paradise Kiss Talking Dolls and Alice Games: Rozen Maiden Epic Ninja stories for teenage boys: Naruto Alchemical Magic: Full Metal Alchemist Akira Kurosawa does Anime: Samurai Seven
Honestly, can you give me a little more detail as to what you're looking for?
i can tell you what i have liked and not liked? i have liked most of what myazaki (sp?) has done minus castle in the sky which i found silly and pointless. i liked macross plus, the stuff i watched with you and josh, and ranma 1/2. there was some thing about a sorceress and a bunch of other guys hunting bad guys that was pretty funny. the ninja scroll...i thought was okay. entertaining, but i felt like the end didn't go anywhere interesting. i really liked the vampire hunter d stuff. i LOVED ghost in the shell and i thought akira was kinda - meh. it is important historically for anime in the US i guess, but it wasn't my cup of tea. the truth is i don't care much about genre, but i am more interested in stuff that is complicated or interpersonally or morally interesting.

I still say you should watch Bleach. It's got a great story line. But then again, I love Bleach.
There is Ghost in the Shell, Stand Alone Complex... but I was never a fan of the movie.
