Is your gardening climate anything like Vermont's? My dad has trouble keeping his jerusalem artichokes from taking over too much of the garden... (Enjoy! I suspect they won't be hard to grow.)

I've never actually eaten one fresh/cooked, but jerusalem artichoke flour in conjunction with whole wheat makes some truly awesome pasta.
