just one. even with the $100 off the breeder has offered us, purebred cats are expensive as hell. and we already have one at home. big ears are a trait of maine coons, as are the lynx tips on them, hair between the toes of the large paws, a ruff around the neck and britches(more apparent in adult cats), a tail at least as long as the body, a soft, water-resistant coat, and a square jaw good for mousing. they are awesome cold-weather cats and the first native breed to the US. i'm stupid for them. polydactylity(extra toes) also used to be a trait associated with them, and there are still breeders that breed for that trait even though it's considered a flaw in cat shows. i would LOVE to get a polydactyl cat, but if you can believe it, they are even more expensive than the others.

How many of these furballs will you be bringing home?
