Grasp the doctor firmly by the lapels and inform him if he screws this up he'll be seeing a lot of you henceforth. It worked for my doctor.

teehee.
i'm not really afraid of this doctor messing up. the tonsilectomy is a VERY common surgery, and all of what he is doing is a)invisible externally and b) not very dangerous. what i'm afraid of is the pain during recovery.

Do not fear pain. View it as a neccesary discomfort that will lead you to a state you are desirous.

Says the girl who went from an A cup to DDD overnight. Pain is tolerable knowing that when it goes away you'll have what you want. Just stay focused on the goal, sweety.

Wendie is going in in August or September for a boobjob, having her adam's apple shaved and a tonsilectomy. That's gonna be some fun recovery right there.

So I guess this message is hey, it could always be worse...

the tonsilectomy is nasty. looks like we are both in for a treat.
apparently the nerve endings branch out in the tonsils as you get older, so that's why it's so much worse for adults than for kids.
i'm told it means a week of liquid diet at least.
the bright side is. i will lose weight. :) i don't know if that is a bright side for her or not, but it definitely is for me. :)

I pray that you have peace as you enter into this. I pray that the doctors are clear communicators and competent surgeons. I pray that you have a quick and healthy as possible recovery process. I pray that friends and family are positive, non-pestering nursemaids as you heal.
