 busy-ness.
i have been making up time at work in advance all week because i have a doctor's appointment today. i got in a half-hour on monday, a few minutes on tuesday, and a whole hour yesterday. i'm hoping that will be enough.
tuesday we had corrin over for food and knitting and house.
it was very good.

yesterday i went and got my rings cleaned and also went out and replaced my size 1 dpns because i lost one somewhere in the car and can't find it and also can't work on my socks without it.
the bee socks are INCREDIBLE. easily the softest, lovliest yarn i've ever worked with. too bad there are only 6 colorways or so available. these are definitely going to need blocking when i'm done because they are very lacy and look like it. but the way the bee pattern is created is SO cool and nothing i would have anticipated. i had some initial doubts about how it would look with a varigated yarn, but i am liking it better than i thought i would.

today i am returning library books, packing and cleaning until i'm too exhausted to clean anymore.
my doctor's appointment is in about an hour and i have a feeling i will be grateful for the short day.

it looks like ross is going to be doing some sort of business thing in new york after i fly back so i will have a couple of days alone before he returns. after how busy i think i will be this week, that will probably be a good thing.

How dare you taunt me with soft sock yarn?! I'm working soysilk right now for a sundress for Kate. It has a nice drape, but not very stimulating pattern or material alike. Can we have pics?

pics here as soon as i get home.
there is a picture on ravelry - but it pretty much only shows how BADLY this sock needs to be blocked and the colors of the yarn i'm using - which i actually quite like, but it isn't shown off very well yet. it will look better as i get more of the sock done.

in the meantime here's a lovely taunt to send you running to your "future sock yarn purchases" list. cat's pajamas sock yarn includes CASHMERE.....oooo soft and squishy.

hmmm...
i recently down-graded my account to basic because i refuse to give lj any more money while they allow censorship in their policies.
and it won't let me upload pictures from my files anymore.
any idea how to do it from a url?
