i will be happy to overload you with soaping information. are you on librarything? if you check out my account (either eclipse or 2eclipse, i can't remember which), you will be able to see all my soaping books(which is where i learned how to do it). there are a couple of lj soaping communities, but in my experience they suck. soaping is an enjoyable process and very satisfying, but my motivation is less sane than yours. i'm a bit paranoid about war, especially with our current administration. i make a point of learning skills that would be useful if we wound up without any infrastructure. i want to learn to hunt and butcher my kill for this same reason - only i'm terribly squeamish and am going to have to learn not to pass out first.
