can i just say i'm tired of THIS:

Tonight: Windy with snow showers this evening. Partly cloudy later. Dangerous wind chills as low as -40F. Low around -15F. Winds WNW at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph early.
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy. Very cold. Dangerous wind chills approaching -35F. High 3F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph.
Tomorrow night: Cloudy skies with a few snow showers later at night. Cold. Low -3F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 30%.

the only good thing about this is that it is supposed to warm up to 20 degrees and i might get to go cross country skiing this weekend.
and tea. tea is always better when it is cold and nasty out.

Thank you. Much as I dislike Philly's weather, which has only spent a few days actually feeling like winter*, I should remember that wind chills of 15ºF are really quite pleasant compared to days that don't get above 5ºF.

*I want more winter, if I'm going to be living someplace with such miserable summers. Just maybe not quite as much as you're getting. ;)

this is actually a MUCH harsher winter than the last two have been. usually there is only about 2 weeks that are this bad. minnesota winters are really not that awful unless you are living in northern minnesota. also colder winters don't necessarily mean cooler summers. the nights in the summer are cooler here....but during the day we still get 90 degree weather.
i actually liked the weather in philly....

Yeah, that's why I'm reluctant to move to the midwest. (Not that it's particularly likely, just that I do plan to move in a year or two.) If I'm going to put up with a hot summer, though, I want snow! I'm getting more and more fond of the idea of living someplace that's between 30 and 80º for most of the year, though...I think I could manage without snow if I could also not melt in the summer. (I hate air conditioning. I really, really wish I could live someplace where I wouldn't need it. And I also really hate being drenched in sweat by the time I've walked to work.)

Tea..

is good all the time. It can't be made be made better. Don't be blasphemous.

Unless you have biscuits.

Do you have biscuits?

tea IS good all the time. but i do think some tea is better than other tea and that tea can be made better by foul weather AND buiscuits.
and sometimes we do have biscuits.

Sure you have biscuits... when the supply trucks can make it through that fucking weather. Jesus, but you leave in East Frozen Hell, don't you?

Tea is definitely improved in cold weather, particularly if biscuits are available, and the tea can be imbibed on a comfortable couch-like surface, with a fuzzy blanket of some variety, and, if at all possible, a cat to snuggle with.

I like things to be just so :)
