I love gaspacho. I would love a good recipe for it.

It looks like you enjoyed the Kite Runner. Isn't that a wonderful story? I have already ordered your b-day present....sooo much fun. We are off for NC tomorrow for a week at Lake Junaluska.

gaspacho
1 can low sodium chicken broth or vegetable broth
1 large container tomato juice
6 chopped tomatoes
2 chopped green peppers
juice of one lemon
2 tbs red wine vinegar
1 cucumber, peeled and chopped
1 red onion, chopped
5 cloves garlic, diced
2 tbs each fresh basil, parsley, cilantro and chives
salt and pepper to taste
croutons optional (i dont' like soggy bread)

mix the tomato juice and broth. in a seperate bowl, put all the vegetables and herbs. add lemon juice and vinegar. pour the juice/broth mixture over, chill for 1 hour and serve.

i did like the kite runner.

What did you think of this Kushiel book? I don't think it was as intense as some of the other ones, but certainly a good read.

actually i was very pleased with it. mostly because i was VERY disappointed in kushiel's scion. it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't...interesting either. i felt like this book showed the author catching her stride again and maybe the last one was just a step she had to get through in order to write the good stuff.
imriel still doesn't make as good of a hero as phedre, but he's not a bad one either.
