so far everyone we know is okay.
and that is a big blessing.
but i can still feel how the community is effected by this, how everywhere around me people are in shock, are grieving and suffering and helping and comforting and being heroes. it is unavoidable to know that i am part of this community and want to help too, even though there is not really anything i can do besides pray.
also ross broke his toe last night. in the house where things should be relatively safe.
he went to the doctor today and found that he has a spiral fracture. they gave him generous pain medication
i went to ryan grohnke's last night. it was better to be together while we were wondering if everyone was okay. i like that guy. we talked about theology and movies and distracted one another from the tragedy when we weren't actually talking about it. jory stopped by for a bit. we kept getting phone calls from people checking on us. that was nice. nice to be cared about. the cell services were limited so some people took a long time to get through.
but as a result of going over there i have immense amounts of housework to do tonight. i am hoping i can hold out. this week has been very tiring.
