just came back from a bike ride.......yeah. stinky, smelly, red-in-the-face....that's me.
and i stopped at the bike shop (conveniently only a bit off the trail) and got my odometer fixed (which they nicely did for free since i bought it there).
so this was the first time i actually got a real reading of how far i actually ride and not a guestimation based on measurements of fingers moved around on a map and compared to the scale.
the bad news is that i only made it 2 times around the lake, not the 3 i was doing last week.
the good news is that it still adds up to 12.7 miles.
which means that all the times i said i was doing 13 miles last week? i was lying. that's actually a 16 mile ride i was doing.
i'm SO gonna meet my goal by the end of the summer.

also i heard a rumor today that there is actually a shower in MY building at work that has absolutely nothing to do with the gym *DANCES*
i'm really hopinghopinghopinghoping.

and i'm gonna go shower now.

Go you !!!! Nice to know how far you are going isn't it? Even nicer to find you have been biking more miles than you thought. I too have bike path envy. I rode my bike to Giant for a few groceries the other day and thought I was going to pass out by the time I got home with the combination of extra weight of groceries, hills and nearly 100 degree temperature.
We would like to get you a bike rack and panniers (sp??) for your birthday if you still want them. I figure they might come in especially handy if you figure out a way to ride your bike to work. We could try to figure out what you want on line or, maybe you have spotted something you want at your local shop. Please let me know about that, okay.
I am interested in hearing more about your job as it develops. It sounds like there is a lot of orientation and setting up to be done before you hit your stride.

installation was a beast, but now it seems to be working fine....i wonder if you need a new battery or something if you keep having trouble.
or hell, just get one you like better. they are only about $20
