i am the worst cat-mom ever.

madeliene got out tonight. and i didn't notice for over a half-hour.
i have no idea where she is. she is an indoor only cat.
i have been waiting on the porch all night hoping she will come back.


Edit: She is back. she was not even out the whole night. we left the door propped a bit and she let herself in and was sleeping upstairs when ross went up at 6. he brought her downstairs and woke me to let me know (wonderful man).
NOW, she is soaking wet and wrapped in a towel in my lap. a night on the town during tick season means a bath for madeliene. with any luck she will associate the two.

Thank GOD!! I read this when I got up at 4am and knew how worried sick you must have been. Glad you have a crabby wet cat to love :)

I am glad that I live in the type of apartment building that I do... Our cats, if they do get 'out', just kind of hang out in the hallway with a lot of heavy doors until I walk over, then they run right back into the apartment. Lady Alaethia Marmelade will even get to the point that if someone comes out of their apartment, she will get spooked and run back to the people she knows :) Chloe is just too lazy to leave too often :)
