Comment and I'll--
1 - Tell you why I friended you.
2 - Associate you with something. A fandom, a song, a colour, a piece of fruit. SOMETHING.
3 - Tell you something I like about you.
4 - Tell you a memory I have of you.
5 - Associate you with a character/pairing.
6 - Ask something I've always wanted to know about you. (Or else I'll just ask a random question. I reserve that right.)
7 - Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
8 - In return, you must spread this disease in your LJ.

The caveat applies that after about 5 replies I might burn out and stop answering.

5 - percy lake. was there any question?
6 - who is dan vosovic?

Wasn't me on the Dan Brown. He makes my skin writhe.
I'm usually pushing Arturo Perez Reverte or Christopher Moore.

-Dan Vosovic was a candidate on the second season of Project: Runway
-Deleria is a game of modern fairy tales, created by Phil Brucato (the original Mage developer. A really incredible game that, while it appears dead in the water at the moment, has some more life in it.

1 - i have been choosy about who i friended from this game. because sometimes i post about game and i didn't want lots of drama resulting. i developed respect for you in person that made me want to add you.
2 - my first thought is that gas mask
3 - i like it that you are christian but not narrow-minded. i feel less alone because of you.
4 - talking with you under an umbrella table last summer about all manner of things that were not game related, even though everyone else was still playing.
5 - i mainly associate you with snaps
6 - what do you draw on for courage?
7 - i like the one you label as "christian" but not because of the label or the cross. it amuses me that you picked giles.
8 - In return, you must spread this disease in your LJ.

As far as Giles goes, Buffy is teh roxorz...
I used to have 3 buffy icons (when you could only have 3) with Giles doing different things at least 'representative' of topics I would discuss in my journal.

I am not so deep, I didn't choose Giles because he -isn't- a Christian (in the typical sense of the word), I chose him because he was wielding a big cross... I wanted the icon to speak for itself.

Why not?

1. you were one of the first people at larp to be actively kind to me. you smiled and wanted to talk about dc voting rights and were impressed with my having tape in my backpack. you and abby were the reason i even started an lj.
2. i associate you with the phrase, "the bees knees."
3. i am amazed at how well you keep up with all kinds of media issues and find time to write such in depth commentary on them. the world would be a better place if there were more people like you.
4. i remember how you were ready to protect me when we went dancing and some guy slammed into me.
5. definately ze ravnos.
6. what is your association with purplegoth?
7. i like your void icon. it scares me and soothes me depending on my mood.

Silly as it is, I made that e-mail account on the fly for a game NPC many, many years ago. I just kept it out of complacency. :)

Thank you for all the nice words. ;)

6 - what is the most vivid dream you ever had?

My most vivid dreams are either the ones that turn into prophetic type things or the combat and fighting ones...I'll spare you the violence. Of the Prophetic ones the most vivid fade the quickest adn usually turn out to be the closest to what happens.

This is a comment.
Figuring I might be avoiding burnout, given the distance between post and me getting around to saying something about it.

1 - Tell you why I friended you. - because you friended me first, and because you had intelligent and unusual things to say for yourself when i asked.
2 - Associate you with something. A fandom, a song, a colour, a piece of fruit. SOMETHING. - at first i associated you as a gamer...afterward you have branched out for me til i associate you with lots of things
3 - Tell you something I like about you. - your honesty and respect. you do not fail to treat your friends with either that i can see.
4 - Tell you a memory I have of you. - i remember your first few private e-mails to me like a ray of sunshine...the broadening of our friendship into something beyond the public, and the feeling that you truly trusted me with who you are. it felt like a big compliment.
5 - Associate you with a character/pairing. - alas, i know none of your characters. nor can i think of any made by others that i think suit you.
6 - Ask something I've always wanted to know about you. (Or else I'll just ask a random question. I reserve that right.) do you believe in regrets or do you think everything is worth what we pay for?
7 - Tell you my favorite user pic of yours. - the cairn with the sword. it makes me think of the sword in the stone...but it makes me think of value left with the dead. and i think there is truth in that image.
8 - In return, you must spread this disease in your LJ.

2. *chuckles* Glad I am of that. I may be a gamer geek, but I like to think there is more to me than that.

4. It was.

5. I would love for you to meet some of my characters at some point. Might send you some chunks of Lazarus someday or something along those lines. Interestingly enough, the bombshell from last night is making me think I need to go back to my vague concept of trying to earn some sort of income with my brain, possibly with my writing, and I'm going to need to find ways to pursue that.

6. I'm not sure if I believe in either of those concepts. There is a mix of reaction in my head - there are things I would have like to have happened differently. Either my actions changing, or those of others changing - but at the same time, I can follow the lifepaths from those moments and those choices and see the positive things I have gained through the angst.
Case in point: If I had never chosen to try CSF, I never would have met the individual who I experimented with relationships with, and thus never would have met the man I married, and thus never would have ended up wearing myself down to the point where I got sick, and thus never would have ended up in the middle of nowhere trading housework for room and board, and thus never would have met Sidhebear through EQ, and thus never would have found you.... and I rather like the meeting you part.
Convoluted, but the point is in there.
For every awful thing that happens, we end up branching out and having different sets of choices. All the ones I've analyzed ended up leading me to someone or something or a life lesson that I value.

7. I like that choice and the explanation for it.
