geeky gamer moment

i had a great time last night at game. my new toreador is in a great position to play with people i never got to play with because sarnait was too uptight. i am getting to learn about things (like how celerity works) that i haven't gotten to play with before. all in all, charlie is a character that is easier to play for me. she isn't really like me, but she wasn't designed to be alien to me the way sarnait was. she also has a couple of behaviors that i have to maintain whenever i play her. it is easier to get into character because i can tap into those behaviors and link her personality to them. her motivations matter in game as well as out because they are focused there. i wonder how much knowing how to craft a character where you can play on your strengths impacts who we think is a good role-player and who is not.

regardless, in large part because kurosawa2005rocks and because there was a  'place'  for her to fit in, i had one of those nights where i just want to keep playing. good stuff.

Snaps is a VERY EXAGGERATED version of Daniel in many ways, ways that Daniel doesn't get to act out. He is sort of an outlet for me to explore my darker side? The manipulative, the coward, the toadie (in some respects). This is why I think LARP is healthy, because we can do those things in a controlled environment. It is hard for me sometimes, like in Snaps' new relationship with a setite from Winona. Daniel is a prude, very much so... Snaps has no such issues with talking about some of the things that would come up in conversation with a Setite... /shrug I LOVE game and I am glad you are having more fun now! Now all you have to do is keep playing :)

you know, i never would have guessed you considered yourself that way.
i think you can count on me to be there. actually i've spent most of this week plotting up ways to torment certain people (it will be great fun) and avoid taking advantage of some of the many people who seem to want to jump on the scene of "oooo new chic toreador lets-make-friends." much as heather might like to make friends....i need to pay attention to who the character would pay attention to and who she would not. that might be hard.
