the dean wrote me back about graduating this year.

it's not going to happen. not this year. and it's not because he's not willing to work with me either.
it's because i'm bad at math.
yes folks, the mathematically disinclined wonder (me) has done it again.
i am a few credits short to graduate.
the reason he took so long to get back to me was because the registrar's office had to put together all the information for him.
i'm not really very disappointed because i knew that there was a possibility i might not be able to graduate til next year and because i was prepared for that, but not this reason for it. i feel like an asshat.

the possibility of another class doesn't phase me at all, except for being something else i have to pay for.
what bothers me is that now my folks are going to be all disappointed and sad and i get to feel guilty about missing the opportunity to see them and my nephew who might be in town during that time....

I am not that disappointed...I can wait til next year.I just want you to do it. Only sad because maybe I won't be seeing you here this spring...unless you decide to just come anyway. I am actually glad that it is not just because the dean won't work with you. You are worse at math than I am at remembering telephone numbers...but just curiously...did you get your credits transferred from your Hebrew Course? I am just so thrilled that you are finishing your thesis. That is the hardest part(other than counting your credit hours:)) It will not be that hard to catch the credits you need and you might even enjoy doing it. I will look forward to next year's graduation.
