i have been doing a lot of thinking about this subject lately. So i'm wondering...

Do you see yourself as a leader in your workplace, social group, family or community?
What are the leadership skills you value most in yourself? in others?
Do you like leading or do you prefer to follow?
Do you think the same things make for a good leader of a small group and a large group?
What makes for a bad leader?

Nah - I make a fabulous loyal henchman but not a good leader.

What are the leadership skills you value most in yourself?
I tend to see both sides too well to be a good effective leader.

in others?
Respect to me goes hand in hand with leadership.

Do you like leading or do you prefer to follow?
I tend to follow - organize it all - but follow.

Do you think the same things make for a good leader of a small group and a large group?
No I think smaller groups can be lead by more comradery verses the force of personality that is needed to lead a large group.

What makes for a bad leader?
One that doesn't listen.

I'm similar in many ways. I am a good henchman or #2.

This is not because I have great organizational skills. It's more because I am talented in taking a vision or a thought from someone and making it happen (implementation).

this is fascinating to me because i DO see a lot of leadership skills in you. you decide you want to do things and you do them. at least in game.
how do you account for shen being prince if you do not see yourself as being a leader?
it is sad, but you can't "fake" having those just because it's on your character sheet. you have to be able to role-play it in order for people to follow you, and if you don't have it, your character doesn't.
similarly, some things are so integral to one's personality that one can't get around them...like i've never seen [livejournal.com profile] onomojaku play a character that wasn't complicated, or [livejournal.com profile] vale797 play a character that wasn't theologically challenging - an NPC, sure, but not something consistant. it is too much a part of them.

I am still in shock that Sheniver is Prince - she is a doer but rarely does she order others to do. That's the leason she is currently learning -

Thanks but I've never seen myself as a leader & I really don't know why?
