Jul. 21st, 2006 12:44 pmtoday i am thinking about the good things about being unemployed.
because usually i feel so bad about it. i think part of my problem appreciating these things is that i don't plan my day enough. instead, i angst about job searching, do some job searching and focus on it so hard that i sporadically have to do other things in order to wind down. then i feel bad because there is no more job searching to be done. i need to plan better. spending all my time angsting at the computer is not helping.
right now i am eating pancakes in my pj's.
i can do this because i don't have to be at work.
after i finish scouting through my resources to see if there are any new jobs worth applying for, i will practice my bagpipes, then i will bike to the library where i will study german and enjoy their vast science fiction section.
they are building a new library in this town soon. one that will overlook the golf course and marsh preserve. one that will have a coffeeshop. it will also be within biking distance, but it will be a bit further away, so i will get more excercise going there. can you tell i'm looking forward to this?
