May. 25th, 2006 10:50 pmthe surgery today went really well. the surgeon said the wrist fit back together much better than he thought it would and his prognosis for her regaining full movement has improved!
another nice bonus is that i've gotten to spend some time getting to know michael, susan's boyfriend of about 2 months. the more i know him, the more i like him and like him for HER - which of course, is the important part.
she can't put any weight on her left hip, so stairs will be difficult. our house is close to her parents and has everything she might need on one floor - guest room, bathroom, kitchen, living room. so it looks like susan is going to stay with us for at least a few days after she gets out of the hospital. we get company! *dances*
i like taking care of people. it is not so lonely as spending all day running errands and applying for jobs and tormenting the cats.
i'm also really looking forward to getting a goodnight's sleep WITH my husband. i missed him last night.
