k so i missed [livejournal.com profile] aryaluna. she already got something. i don't know what.
this is my STRONG recommendation for the DLO Transpod

i was recommended this particular product AT the apple store where i bought my ipod. my cd player was broken so i was in desperate need of a radio alternative. especially considering i was about to drive 17 hours to minnesota. the fella at the applestore said that the other types of ipod broadcasters break frequently and/or lose reception on a regular basis, whereas he drove all the way from indiana to va with one of these things and never needed to change the station.
there is the added bonus that they come in silver, white or black (hmmmm....i wonder which this crowd would prefer....)
it IS spendy. you can pick them up at best buy for about 100$. but the advantage is that you only have to buy it once and never have to wory about A)breaking or B)losing reception all the time (i find that every now and then i get a BIT of static....every now and then being ONCE A YEAR!).
my father and [livejournal.com profile] skia have gotten other types and they have broken.

that sounds fun!

I have a question for you: what material do you use for boning in corsets, and could it be used in a hoop skirt? And where does one buy it? Thanks for any help. :)

for the most part steel is used for boning in corsets....as to hoop skirts...i kinda think it would be a bad idea. the steel might cut the fabric...corsetry is made to be pretty tough, but skirts....not so much. i have never made either one so i would recommend posting on one of the sewing sites.

as i said...
