i am so mad at my employment agency.
volt contacted me yesterday and implied that i was being "excessive" with my time off. i sent them an angry e-mail today (copying my supervisor) saying i hoped that they would only suggest such things out of ignorance and were not implying that i was being dishonest because then i would be REALLY OFFENDED.
same lady calls me today and tells me that each half-day i'm taking is going to count as a "point" which is how our sick-days are recorded against us unless i can provide a doctor's note - EVEN THOUGH MY SUPERVISOR APPROVED the time. i'm so mad. i just saw dr. manger this morning (he says my healing is great but that i can expect another 2 weeks of this no-lifting, no-bending, no-crunches, low-energy sort of stuff). it would have been very convenient to get such a thing today, but now i have to go bother him again. he is so nice, i feel really bad about that. marissa is just being rude and offensive and a bully because she can. i will never work for VOLT again if i can ever possibly avoid it.

that's ridiculous. like the time when i had to wear sneakers to work because it was the only shoe that would fit over the ace bandage, and had to get a dr's note. what is wrong with people?

they don't make money off me for hours i don't work...that and because they have the 3m contract nailed down they feel secure about giving their hirees the run around.

yeah, but you'd think that they'd want you healthy, so you can work, rather than constantly sick.

Do you have anything that says that on your receipt? Otherwise call and ask to talk to his assistant and explain how unreasonable and stupid your employers are, I'm sure they'll be happy to help you out.

no. that all gets printed out before i even see the doctor.
but i did speak to him about it this morning and he would be happy to sign anything i send him. it's just going to be a pain in the rear.
and marissa(volt lady) is absolutely violating policy by taking this tone with me. the attendence policy states that i have to get time off approved ahead of time by my supervisor (who approved it) or i get points taken - not that they get to arbitrarily decide to take points even with my supervisor's approval. she's just a bully. and after talking with other co-workers, i find that i am not the only one who thinks so.
