The amazong part is that they are still in office. Clinton gets a blowjob and the nation hounds him to admit it and moves to impeach. Bush takes us to war and ruins the economy so the rich get richer, and still they sit in their ivory tower, untouchable.
The massive PR campaign to direct us to war in order to remove Saddam Hussein is abominable, and the Bush administration would consider it justifiable as it did remove Saddam. That they lied to do it does not seem to bother them.
Another thing bothers me about this, though... many people when surveyed still believe that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and that they are the same as Al Qaeda. The misinformation, it's still out there.
i find it all very disturbing. i agree with the quote from v for vendetta. the people shouldn't be afraid of the government. the government should be afraid of the people.
I saw that news story on CNN this morning, and I groaned! "No kidding," I thought, completely NOT shocked. *sigh* Ever since Tom DeLay went down, I've needed a new political nemesis. Maybe Bush? The only good thing I can think of about his presidency is the National Book Festival, but that was really Mrs. Bush's doing. ~A
i will feel validated if the information is acted upon.
dubya already has stains on his record, and i would hope history does not remember him kindly, but the damage has already been done. the only justice left would be to boot him before he can leave with any dignity... or pretend it didn't happen once he's passed the mess on. he's already trying to tie the hands of the next president by making "permanent" agreements before he leaves.
