swear words DO make reading more interesting when you hit that point....but i didn't read catcher in the rye til i was 16. i started reading swear words at 12. some others i might add to my dislike are: anna kerinina - just put it down. tired of the russian social melodrama, as opposed to war and peace, which i loved. anything by marx. anything by neitzche. sorry babe. his criticism is brilliant, but as soon as he starts with his solutions to the problems he sees i lose interest. i think his philosophy (as opposed to his criticism) is bunk. i have the same problem with marx.
