well i am back from virginia.

back to work.
i got to see many of you last week and i am SO glad. some of you i didn't get to see - didn't make it to game thursday night, for example. others there was just miscommunication.![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)

there is never enough time to spend time with everyone i want to see. i probably would have done a bit better if i hadn't prioritized seeing a friend from college i hadn't seen in six years who decided not to show, but not much, and you never can predict these things. i did not get to see drema (one of the ministers who married ross and i) or my thesis advisor outside of the graduation event, which i regret.
everything was pretty much scheduled around the actual event of graduation last monday and the weather allowing us to go sailing tuesday and wednesday. i did get a lot of time with my folks and some quality time with the newly engaged ceci and ben, my oldest close friend,illusionstar and to meet illusionmajik for the first time in person, which was very cool. also got to see sheniver , votishal and cuddlejunkie and some friends from seminary.
i got a lot of reading done and relaxed, which was also part of the agenda.
the actual graduation ceremony was lovely. bruce birch spoke and was inspirational as always. he is only going to be dean at wesley for one more year, which makes me sad. there was a liberian bishop there to assist conferring an Mdiv on his daughter and 3 or 4 other bishops as well. one of them was a bit of a ham in his benediction, the others were well-behaved...which may or may not be a criteria for appointing bishops. i'm not sure. :)
i got back saturday evening and spent yesterday watching movies and knitting and doing laundry and (to some extent) cleaning the bedroom. my computer at home is not behaving so i am using ross's at home. he says he will take a look when he gets back. it was nice to have a day to unwind although i slept REALLY poorly last night.
i'm going to have to ask for more time off from work for surgery and such even though i just got back from a break and i feel a bit bad about that, even though ross thinks i shouldn't. he is more cavalier about it than i am. my co-workers got me a nice graduation card while i was gone. there are some things i really like about 3m even if it isn't my ultimate career destination.
