st. patty's day concert
Mar. 18th, 2008 10:59 amlast night rocked.
literally.
i got to see Minnesota Police Pipe Band(made me miss piping), Lehto & Wright(good, but a little to into jamming with no melody for me), Wild Colonial Bhoys(always good), Brass Messengers (wow were these guys great)
and of course, Boiled in Lead.
who surprised me by throwing a couple middle eastern style pieces into the set - complete with really HOT belly dancers. i had great fun dancing with susan and ryan and some of their friends.
unfortunately ryan got drunk enough that the bouncers noticed and wouldn't let him back in after he went out for a cigarette. which pissed him off and made him belligerant so that he called his roommate and refused to let me take him home.
ross apparently had a really wonderful time mixing for gaelic storm at the guthrie....and i'm really glad, but i missed him.
i am WIPED today. i will be going straight to the nap after work today.
