(no subject)

i got a hugemongous package from sunmother and my dad last week and it has been DELICIOUS to have so long not knowing what is inside.
i mean i know it's books...but not WHICH books.

i have been letting my brain rest this week. i've taken a few days and just not answered the phone...which...i love ya'll....but i really needed to do. i have also been REALLY busy when i haven't been doing this and so i made a big round of phone calls friday and saturday getting back to everyone. my classes start soon and i want to be fresh and full of energy for them. also got to go biking on friday and hang out with corrin and heather kieweg. good stuff.

yesterday i learned how to can from thistle hartog. that was AWESOME! my friend corrin came over to join us for a bit as did thistle's friend, anh, who has dyed-red hair that i covet. she was pretty cool even if i did get sick eating her weird asian gel snacks.

it is going to be wierd having ross back home again. i've gotten so used to just planning things independently. i think i'm going to miss that part...but he does as much for me. he's got a bachelor party coming up for jory (another one?). i'm honestly really glad i'm not invited. i think i would have a really lousy time....and it will be good to have a night to myself or with girls...time i can plan without consulting anyone. don't get me wrong, i'm really excited to have my husband back...but i will miss my alone time the same way he will miss running the show. it has been hard on us to be separate so much, but it has been good for us as well.

i made meat pies tonight. that was fun. MAYBE ross will leave some for me to take to lunch this week.
