susan and i got to see dead can dance last night at the guthrie. really it was billed as "lisa gerard" and highlighted her new solo album, but john was also there and most of the stuff they performed was dead can dance stuff.
the music was fabulous. lisa gerard has an exceptional voice. kinda like her voice can't decide whether it is edie brickell or etta james. but man is that woman a diva! she changed her costume and kept going back to talk to the sound board operator during the performance. there were 2 encores....which would have been fine except that the guys a few seats away from us were very drunk and stinky and loud and i wanted to get away from them. her take on "the wind that shakes the barley" was worth it, but i'm not sure the other encores were.

i have another interview in about an hour, this one with luther seminary. good stuff.
i got up early and went for a short bike ride - short because it started drizzling on me. i am showered, dressed and coffee is brewing. i will be very awake for this interview. my information from old jobs is collected, my resume, references and job description are printed and reviewed.
