(no subject)

my check engine light went on tuesday after work.
my car got into the shop(the one where they will have to take it somewhere else because they don't do hondas - but where the work is free because of my warranty) wednesday evening.
i have a rental car.
with any luck they will call me today and tell me to come pick it up. the rental car is not covered forever.

i went out with heather kieweg last night for coffee. man is that girl cool.
and so much different than i am. so very practical, and a bit shy, and skeptical and scientific. she actually did WELL in calculus. grew up in the country and now works as a landscape architect.
she has a fiber hobby worse than mine. she spins and weaves and knits.
i so rarely like other heathers.

i have a to-do list a mile long. but i think i'm going to have to nap after work today.

i had a really nice birthday.
thank you to all of you who wished me well.

ross took me out to a really nice dinner at the lexington, and i got a couple of books and i WILL get a set of cross-country skis from my folks (which i am greatly looking forward to going out on this winter).
ross and i came home and snuggled on the couch and watched 13th warrior. it was very nice.
also he wants to renew our marriage vows at minnehaha falls for our anniversary.
i love how romantic he is.
