Aug. 15th, 2006 06:50 am1st day on the job
was just great - although their lack of non-powdered creamer for coffee sucks. today i bring tea. and honey.
my supervisor, bill maloney is great and very informal. the hardest thing about this job is going to be keeping all of the line items straight in my head and not getting an awful headache due to flourescent lighting.
i like the people there. it will due quite nicely.
on the other side of things, ross called me over my lunch break to tell me ralph fell and broke his leg. it was weak because he hadn't been putting full weight on it and the bone softened. he went into and came out of surgery just fine yesterday. he wants us to come up saturday....i wish we could go earlier in the week. we promised dawn we would come help with her siding and i feel bad for putting her off.
but i am very glad ralph is okay.
he is going to set of metal detectors i think.
i went to have dinner with rachel and jerad last night. it was great to see them. but i should have come home before nine. i didn't get to spend much time with ross at all last night before i had to go to bed. tomorrow i can get up at 7 instead of 6:30, since i now know my way to work and will have dropped stuff off at the temp agency today. but i seriously need more sleep if i'm going to be doing this day-walker stuff.
