today should be good...
Mar. 9th, 2006 08:42 amdespite the whole "cleaning out the desk" thing, which i hate.
i am not leaving in disgrace.
the company is throwing me a pizza party before i go.
then i am to spend the afternoon knitting with
pixiecup and catch dinner with dawn the amazing massage therapist who also happens to be my friend.
last time i saw her professionally it was weird.
massage therapists see everything. it is part of what they do. so i knew she would see my lumpy tummy. i made fun of myself to take the edge off of it. she said "oh, your liver's probably just squishing your guts out."
i said, "what!?!"
she said, "come here."
she got behind me and told me to relax as she jabbed her fingers up under my right ribcage and lifted. "yup," she said, "your liver got hooked on your ribcage and was squishing your guts out. it is loose now. you can find all kinds of things. see, here is your stomach (poke). i can feel the sphincter."
so weird.
so very deeply weird.
on the other hand, i CAN move my ribcage better now. and my stomach isn't lumpy.
yesterday was also good. i got in touch with two old friends, one from high school and the other from college, neither of whom i have seen in at least 6 years. catching up is always fun.
hey,
xerotic! did you get your cd?
