just woke up.
car shopping today with ross.
like wanderingbastet i am full of weird dreams.

i dreampt my friend susan and i were hanging out in my parent's basement and she was singing songs to me that i didn't know.
then we watched a movie called sunglasses...
it was about a businessman played by christopher reeves (before the accident) who went to work in a bigass tall building and found out that his wife was leaving him for his biggest competitor at work....something about a jetski competition rigged to kill him.
she was wearing sunglasses like she always was.
which gave him his idea. he told his best friend what he was going to do. they went out of the building and while his bestfriend acted as a distraction, he stole a policeman's gun and shot himself in the head with it.
he made sure to wear sunglasses when he did this.
i saw all the flashbacks of his life...his previous interracial marriage and how that started (even his wife's facial hair, which kinda grossed me out). how she died in a hospital with him not telling her the truth about her dying because he couldn't bear it. her learning the truth from the pastor of the church they went to and being so hurt that she died furious with him. his meeting with his second wife and how when they committed to one another she told him she could keep track of him because she always wore sunglasses.
he went through all of these flashbacks and wound up in a place where all he could see was white noise. then he...twisted something mentally and fell through the sky, landing on his competitors shoulders on that damn jet ski. turned him over and defeated him.
dude i want some sunglasses that can do all that.

then susan and i talked about the movie and i woke up.

(no subject)

so i got up and called the dealer for the car i was most interested in (a bright blue 2002 honda accord w/ 68k on it)...it looks like someone drove it pretty hard. someone who was a smoker.
they have got rid of MOST of the smoke smell, but not all of it yet.
ross found a few things wrong with it...a little rotor wear...wipers need replacing...but overall a nice car...she'll just wear out sooner than if she hadn't been driven so hard.
so we are going to keep looking a bit.
there was another up north of the city...but that one is silver and has more mileage...
there is a green one i really like, but that one is automatic...
so we are going to see what bumping our price range up a little opens up for us.

we wound up talking about music and watching pink floyd videos all evening.
very nice.

shaun and thistle, who have been very kind to us, are working on their house. so we also will be working on their house on and off this week.
i will learn to drywall! yeah for being useful!
