well...
i didn't make it to belly dancing last night.
instead, i got to be the middle guy in a 3-car pile up.
some jackass slammed his breaks on 2 cars in front of me.
and the golf in front of me did too.
so i put mine on and started to swerve to the side. i heard screeching tires behind me. then a tow-truck hit me.
no one was badly hurt. i'm the worst of the lot and i have a bruised knee, a cut lip(where i bit it) and a rasberry under my chin from the zipper on my coat. both airbags deployed. there was smoke.
i was able to move the car to the side of the road and frantically call ross.
he got there before the police, as did the boyfriend of the girl in the golf.
they were both very nice. her car has a small crack in the bumper and no other damage. the tow truck's push bumper got knocked half-off.
did i mention i didn't make it to belly dancing?
ross and i went and got some food and came home and chilled out, but it was really hard to sleep last night.
he is taking me in to work today because obviously i have no car.
the good news
the truck's ins. has already said they will pay for my rear damage.
the bad news
they were trying to get me to say i hit her before he hit me this morning. honestly i don't remember. things happen so fast.
i'm just SO so happy that no one was badly injured.
what i don't get is that i was never afraid. very zen in the moment i realized i might not be okay. very adrenaline/shock high. and then i just thought it was all a collossal joke.
