weird dreams

my dreams last night to some extent were influenced by the books i am reading/listening to (harry potter and the order of the phoenix and infection by scott sigler).
somehow i had a latino boyfriend last night and his friends and i went to pick him up, as he was being released from jail. he was VERY cute. we had to wait in line at the grocery store as part of the process and then we went back to my parents' house. the parents were notably absent, but i went through the house with them, showing childhood pictures of myself that i've never seen in real life. there was also something about camping and my insisting on our own tent, heh.
i don't remember how giants became involved in the dream, but they were extremely dangerous. they ran across the creek behind the house (that isn't there in real life) and killed a couple of people. we hid inside and the military came and camped out in our front yard to make sure they didn't come from that side. i'm not sure why we had to stay at the house at all except that we were afraid to go out, nor am i sure why we felt compelled to go hang out on the deck. fresh air seemed to be part of it.
what's irritating to me is that it was the kind of dream that leaves you exhausted. i must have been seriously under its spell.
EDIT: ross informs me that i was also talking in my sleep a lot last night...something about changing the height of the chair that disolved into mumbling....

Date: 2007-07-22 05:06 pm (UTC)I usually end up with the apocryphal apocalyptic stuff.
Thankfully for megh, I've mostly stopped sitting bolt upright, still asleep, and demanding some trivial object that may or may not actually be in the room, refusing to go back to sleep until I'm told where it is. I never have any recollection of it, but you could always tell when it happened because she looked exhausted the next morning.
