I think the neatest thing is seeing what other "taboo" books my friends have enjoyed reading. What you read says something about who you are - what you LOVED reading says even more.
As for the tolerance comment below - it's hard to tolerate what you see as behavior that promotes hatred and injustice. I've been there, and still am working through those feelings on several topics. Best we can do is be self-aware and try!
