i agree with everything you say except that God has nothing to do with community. i strongly believe that we were created for community with God and with one another. i take seriously the scripture that says we are the body of christ on earth. we are our children's first experience of the love of God. piss poor, but we do the best we can. if we are good christians, than we embody that love to one another as well. the communion table is God's table, and we go for communion with Him, not just with one another.
