Mrs. HJA, I completely understand. When I moved to Mpls for Bible College, I tried for months to find a church that felt like family... I prefer small churches because they usually do. I finally found one, a half bloody hour away from where I lived, and besides my hiatus for grad school, I have been going there for 5 or 6 years now (however long I have been in Minnesota).
Church hunting sucks, Mrs. HJA, but it sounds like maybe that is your only option right now...
