The question is dear, are you talking about human rigts or human dignity? The uestion of a Global ethic is a very complex one when you throw into the mix cultural interpretations of what is "right" and what is "wrong". The question you have to ask yourself is if you belive there is some universal priciple that over arches all cultures and superceeds humanity's right of "choice" and "free will" and says "I don't care what you think it is still wrong to do x or good to do y"
And in doing so abandon popular post modern thougt and be call ethnocentric :-D
