coffee shops are easy to leave, b/c people expect to swirl in and out of them, & should be fun & dynamic while you're there.
michael's or joanne's would inspire you to do & make things all the time--might be harder to leave that behind, but you could keep it as a seasonal gig for extra holiday money (& holiday discounts!)
home depot sounds like it's got too many qualifiers. i'd drop the application in the box anyway, but not worry too much about it.
used bookstores are places you move in & make a home of. 'course, if you come back to browse & read & borrow, that might work just as well. i don't think that's dangerous. potentially addictive, & risky b/c you'd be sad to be told no, but not dangerous. :)
