depends on what you mean.
the level of brokenness ralph (my father-in-law) experienced was not as well as could have been expected. his left knee went straight back into his femur and shattered it into 17 pieces. his right heel was crushed and his ankle broken, his nose was broken and one of the vertebrae in his neck was compacted. his right arm was broken above the elbow and two of his ribs were broken in two or more places. one of them punctured his lung. all in all he was lucky to be alive...IS lucky to be alive. an 18-year-old drunk driver hit him at combined speeds of 140 mph. the kid is fine, by the way. it was his 3rd DUI and he only has to spend one month in prison for the next 5 years - and he can get out for work.
the handling of it was better.ralph had to come to our wedding AMA and in a wheelchair, but he was lucky to come at all.
