Sep. 12th, 2007 01:15 pmSo last night was my first reading the audiences class. I drank coffee before class and today I feel like my brain is melting. Do brains melt like ice or like plastic?
The class is medium sized and is taught by two professors. I initially thought it was going to be an intro to evangelism class…and that wasn’t wrong….but it looks like it’s going to be a lot on sociology as well. There will be two papers (5 pages and 10 pages – basically a cakewalk to me at this point) and a midterm and a big project with presentations. We have been divided into groups of 6 to do in-depth analysis of a congregation. All the others in my group are first-year students (ickle firsties!) and two of them are from other countries – South Africa and Liberia. It is weird to me to be the most assertive person in a group. It is something that only seems to happen to me in scholastic settings and I have yet to understand why that is.
One of my professors has already told me he thinks I’m wonderful.:) I hope to have coffee with him soon. I need to talk to him about the nature of the trinity. He said some things regarding the bodily nature of Christ I want him to argue about with me.
Anyway today has been really hard because I am so wiped. And I have craving for spaghetti. Weird. I am so glad my day is ¾ done. We are having ryan over for dinner and I want a nap first.
