happy birthday kfringe!

this weekend has not gone at all as planned.
let's hope it continues that way.
i've had way more fun because of it.

i had a better time this weekend than i meant to.
and that is very well.


i thought we were going to see ross's grandparents (aka the grumps). little did i know that ross had decided against it and not told me. i got my remaining xmas cards sent friday night (minus the few i still have to write). i got laundry done. i got husband time.
i was hoping to go to game twice and expecting to not be able to. i got to go to the winona game on sat. night.
i had A BLAST. i had fun with the ventrue (all but one from the twin cities came) and an environment where there was NO HORACE MANSFIELD-RHUMOR! love the player, but my character HATES his. got to meat some neat new people and re-connect with a few i met at the tremere event. most importantly, i got to hang out with jen creager and chris who's last name i can't spell on the way back. we were very silly.
it was tres fun.

i got my xmas candy done on saturday before i left and i felt good about it.
then sun. morning discovered half of it went ka-blooey. i was PISSED. but i had a long drive with ross (involving good conversation) and time to let the steam pour out of my ears and realize there is nothing i can do about it.i had a reasonably nice time with ross's family (although still boring). ross got a beer bread mix and that is always good. also enough birdseed to drown every bird in the neighborhood in food.

watched bsg with ross this evening. man does that ending SUCK!
but it is only til january or something like that.
all this was MUCH better than not being able to do anything because ross is on call.
i have had one of my extra-strong (extra tasty) martinis and am now about to curl up with a little watership down.
