True. But, as in many settings, it is really hard for women to advance in the military. It happens, but the culture within the authority structures there is quite a bit behind that of the civilian world as far as male/female equality goes. Which is sort of sad, given that it isn't always that lovely in the civilian either. Mmm. And I'm shutting that thought train off before it turns into a rant.
