I dreamt an entire episode of Murphy Brown once several years ago, while the show was on the air. Complete with laugh track and everything.
I only remember this because I wrote down as much of it as I could recall the moment I woke up. If I don't make the effort to record a dream right away (either by writing down frantic notes in the dark or quietly talking out the dream), it quickly sinks back under the surface of my subconscious ocean and is lost forever.
The moment you described of the starved girl wrapped in plastic opening her eyes and asking to be fed is deliciously haunting .
