2eclipseso i'm 90% sure they are going to hire my friend, jory as my replacement here. it's kind of a relief because i won't have to train someone onerous, and his wife does childcare so i'm sure the money will help out a lot for them. jory was scrupulous about asking my permission to apply, and honestly, i'm very happy for him. he is much more cut out for this corporate nonsense than i am. i don't like this job. it's boring. i want something meaningful. there is a piece of me that actually feels a bit sorry for jory, but i did warn him.
and lack of security never feels good. and i will miss the sense of self-esteem i get from working and bringing home money.
good money, considering what i'm doing. the job i am hoping to get is still accepting applications into next week, so i don't expect to hear from them until they are all in.
i leave for germany on the 6th and will be gone from work for 2 weeks. they have told me that they want me to come back when i return, which is interesting to me.
