I'd say make custom filters for the different subjects. But I'm a filter-happy nut who has about 15 different filters for different subject matter and such. =P
The best thing to do is probably make a LJ entry explaining what you'd like to do, and asking interested parties to comment so you can add them to the proper filter. It's a little more respectful that my method, where I just make filters for subjects and assume that I'm putting the right people on them. =P

best intentions ever...i never really got off the ground with this. i should do it...but i think i have some more recovery to do first from last semester. my house is a disaster and needs some major attention and so does my capacity for fiction-absorbtion.
