21. Shadowmarch - Tad Williams (3 stars) 642 pages
22. God of Small Things - Arundathi Roy (3 stars) 399 pages
23. Lust For Life - Irving Stone (4 stars) 321 pages
i decided not to read finnegan's wake. at least not for now. i have a hard time buying the idea that any story is worth that much work. but i also found an online version that is annotated so you can decipher all of joyce's wordplay and nonsense.
i still have to finish foucault's pendulum, but i am also still enjoying it.

As far as Naguib Mahfouz(sp), try "Children of the Alley". Midnight's Children by Rushdie and Satanic verses are also two MUST reads...
