SQUEEE!!

i was dreading looking for jobs today, but it has been entirely great.
first i went to the used bookstore and got an application.
and found 3 books i wanted for $1 each.
then i remembered that the new jane carey book came out TODAY! so i checked half-price books, didn't find it and used it as an excuse to go apply for a job at barnes and noble...where i met a very nice fellow sff geek who seemed eager to have me come work with him.
checked out a couple more places, bought ross some jeans he has been asking me to get for him, and discovered !! there is a new air traffic store that has opened near us!
for those of you who don't know, air traffic is a gaming/juggling store. the guy who owns it is nice/knowledgable/gave me a free club-juggling lesson and gives lessons for really cheap on sunday afternoons!!! i know where i'll be spending my sundays!
i couldn't resist. i got a contact juggling ball to replace the one i have that is really way too small for it. it is BRIGHT orange and UV sensitive.
so now i get to go home and enjoy my fun new toys/books.
paradise.
SQUEE!

:)

I have a contact juggling ball, too, though I really haven't practiced it yet (and can't do much of anything with it). I'm still trying to locate my juggling clubs! It would be fun to practice with you sometime.

hm, but I still want to hoop with you!! :) I'll bring one along tonight, just in case.

you are the cutest. we should totally get together to do this.
i DO want to learn to hoop from you (despite my seeming to put it off).
i had a great time talking to you last night!

The Kushiel series is really quite interesting - just heard she had a new one out myself, though I have not had a chance to pick it up yet. We should really discuss books sometime - I need new SFF recommendations!

Which Barnes and Noble are you applying to? I worked for that fine organization for about 6 years, and might be of some help in that.

we should. i MAKE time for books. there is almost nothing i like as well. ross, my cats, god.....but not by much. i mainly read sff, but my taste also expands to regular fiction, biography (a bit), philosophy, theology and children's lit..hell, i'll read the back of pill bottles if there's nothing else.. let me know when/if you want to get together.
i am applying to the maplewood mall b&n. i really don't want to work retail, but i don't consider it permanant. i am mainly looking for fun work while i find something that pays more and is in human rights. i would be grateful for your help, but please take that into account before you risk any sort of reputation on me.
